Year 10/11 female pupils have a unique opportunity to experience the exciting life of a sports journalist at a major one-day event held by Liverpool John Moores University, in partnership with Sky Sports News.
With the growing popularity in women’s sport, there is a huge demand for talented female sports journalists with the skills to report on events around the world.
Attendees at this event hosted by the university’s journalism department, will get a flavour of what a career in sports journalism could be like, as well as have chance to consider the broader skills needed to succeed in the wider journalism and media sector. If you think your students would like a taste of working in one of the most exciting careers available, make sure you register for this event
During the day, students will:
• Learn new skills, such as television presenting, interviewing, radio/TV production, digital and online writing during a series of interactive workshops.
• Have chance to meet and talk to top female sports journalists and presenters from Sky Sports and other outlets like BBC, local and national publications.
This event is ideal for Year 10 and 11 students who are considering A level/BTEC choices, their potential university studies and future careers.
Venue: Liverpool John Moores University, Redmonds Building, Brownlow Hill.
