Building a Sustainable Shelter

Over the 4 days you will work in teams to design and build a sustainable shelter to be used in a disaster zone. You will receive lectures and sessions on different areas of engineering to help you see how they interlink and can to be incorporated into your project.
You will learn about other aspects across engineering, including sourcing clean water and generating energy in a renewable fashion.
You will also have sessions on research techniques, note-taking and presentation skills.
You will stay in halls of residence and experience life as a student as well as participating in evening social activities and a visit to Edinburgh City Centre.

There is a fee to attend this course but some bursaries are available.

Applications need to be made by students.
