Wondering what a day in the life of a Physics student is like? Would you be intrigued to explore the code behind the discovery of Higgs and discuss world class research with experts? Would you like to have a look at one of the most beautiful University campuses in the UK? If yes, then this Taster Day at Royal Holloway has it all. This is a one-day session for students who are thinking of applying for a Theoretical Physics degree at university. It includes some lab practicals, tutorials, lectures and tours. You will find out about the latest developments at the LHC at CERN from researchers who lead groups working on the experiments there and you will have the chance to visit our Low Temperature facility, home to internationally acclaimed research. You will also have the opportunity to ask our admissions tutors any questions that you may have about the UCAS process, talk to physics students over lunch and take a short tour of our beautiful campus.
