On the 23rd of June 2020, UCL Engineering will be hosting the International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) inviting young people to participate in a celebration of STEM subjects and careers for everyone.

The event is packed with inspiring talks, panel discussions, interactive lab sessions and speed-networking sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to visit different engineering departments as well as get hands-on experience in our lab sessions.

The International Women in Engineering celebrations at the Faculty of Engineering will include a series of panel discussions and networking sessions with successful women and men from different sectors such as industry, academia, governmental and non-governmental sectors.

In addition participants will have the opportunity to meet Alumni and current engineering students and engage in practical activities and tours offered by the host engineering departments.

This celebration day aims to encourage and motivate girls and young women to become future engineers in diverse and exciting engineering areas such as:

Biochemical
Healthcare Engineering
Medical Physics and Bioengineering
Design Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Civil Engineering
Environmental Engineering
Electronic & Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Computer Science
Crime Science and Forensics.
