The first activity is a business simulation where participants take on the role of the management team of a video game hardware producer (e.g., Nintendo’s Wii, Sony’s PlayStation).

The aim of the simulation is to survive in a market of fierce competition and to run a profitable company. The simulation teaches strategic decision making, planning and leadership skills and provides an understanding of why large technology companies like Apple, Facebook, or Google are as successful as they are.

The second activity will introduce the students to the sport industry, showing you why it has to be managed like any other business, then explore one particular sector — the sport agent.

Students will also consider how the sports star should be managed at a personal level, broadening their knowledge of human resource management and aspects of brand marketing.

Session length: 2 hours (1pm – 3pm)
Capacity: 40
