This half day workshop can run on Wednesdays at 10:00 - 12:00 or 13:30 - 15:30.

Choose to participate in either the traditional or contemporary jewellery workshop.

Both classes follow the same format, and students will be handling materials and equipment, designing their own jewellery. At the end of the session, the students get to take the work they have made with them.

In the traditional workshop, the students make a plain ring to fit one of their fingers, working with a strip of metal, through forming, soldering and polishing.

In the contemporary workshop, they get to work with non-traditional materials, such as paper and plastic to make large-scale wearable objects. This is a workshop looking at challenging what jewellery can be about and what materials it can be made from.
