Careers in Creative Industries
The University’s 3,000 creative industries students call our vibrant Cardiff Campus their home. In this session, students will learn more about the courses on offer – from drama, graphics and fashion design, to TV and film set design, music business and documentary photography - and how our state-of-the-art facilities and impressive industry links ensure that our students are ready to embark on a career in this billion-pound industry after graduation.

Ready, set, steal!
What do Labi Siffre and Eminem have in common? How about the Boom Clap Bachelors and Kendrick Lamar? Students will explore the world of illegal and legal music sampling. They will leave the session questioning the music industry more than ever. The session will empower students to make a change within the music industry. They’ll never listen to music in the same way again.

Making Music in the Digital Age
Technology allows the musically gifted to be musicians. This video clip demonstrates how you can express yourself and your musical ideas simply by using innovative applications on your mobile phone, without the need for an instrument or a studio. There are no barriers to creating your own sound. This session includes an optional Q&A session with a course tutor.
