Event Summary:

Participants can try their hand at both traditional and digital textile techniques to make their own materials whilst learning about study and career options from both current students and our academics from the Textile Design course.

Full Event Details:

Participants can try their hand at textile techniques to make their own materials while hearing about study and career options from both students and staff from the Textile Design course. Introducing digital pattern-making using the latest equipment and software. A bite-size view into garment technology and creative pattern cutting, students will create a digital pattern using IDIGIT photography software, manipulate it using Gerber technology and receive a printed pattern to take home at the end of the day.

This event is suitable for a group of 30 Year 12/13 students, and will be hosted at Birmingham City University's City Centre Campus.
The day is currently scheduled to run from 11am-4pm.

Suitable For:

Bookings by Teachers for Key Stage 5 (Students aged 16-18)
Individuals (Enquiry not required to be through a school)
