Full event details

In this session we aim to give you a practical insight into studying journalism at university. The day is set in our extensive facilities, the structure of the day is designed to give you some hands-on experience of the type of exercises you would do as a City Journalism student, which may include interviewing on-camera, recording a short piece of radio or starting up a blog. Our courses have a real-world emphasis and prepare you for the best jobs in the sector. Our BA Journalism alumni have gone on to achieve great things, graduate destinations include BBC Sport, The Sun, The Cabinet Digital Media Team and the Metro.

This taster course is open to year 12 students or anyone thinking of starting their undergraduate studies in September 2019. It is suitable for students who have a strong interest in news and current affairs and are expecting 136 points/AAB at A level.

When applying to this taster course you will be asked to submit in no more than 150 words why you are interested in studying this subject. You will be selected for this event based on your answer.
