Sociology Taster Session

This event introduces you to the areas of sociology we focus on at City - criminology and criminal justice; media and sociology; and human rights. On our BSc Sociology you will have the opportunity to appreciate the complex interplay between local and global forces, with particular reference to life in the 21st century metropolis, which - in our case - is London. We'll also give you a taste of how we teach our students to 'do' sociology - that is, learning how to apply sociological concepts to everyday issues - and we'll give you some insight on what you can do with a Sociology degree.

This taster course is open to year 12 students or anyone thinking of starting their undergraduate studies in September 2019. It is suitable for students taking Sociology or other social science subjects at AS/A Level or BTEC and expecting 128 UCAS tariff points.
