If you're interested in becoming a trader, a fund manager, a broker or analyst in any area of finance, the Cass BSc Investment and Financial Risk Management degree is for you. This degree is very well known in the City, as evidenced by our excellent career prospects: employers know that our graduates come equipped with all the skills they need to get straight on with the job.

The BSc in Banking and International Finance gives students an in-depth knowledge of banking (commercial, retail and investment, risk management and regulation), international finance (foreign exchange), and financial markets (equity, fixed income and derivatives). Much of the teaching is based on real-world changes in the economy and therefore highly current and dynamic.

The BSc in Finance degree provides you with the academic knowledge and skills required to operate in the increasingly competitive world of finance. As a graduate of this course, you will be well-placed to enter a career in the finance industry, in the finance function in a corporation, in consulting, or in regulation and government.

We will take you through all the core areas of study, give you some examples of the careers you can expect to go into, and provide you with examples of how you will put your skills to use.

At this Taster Day, alongside the subject-specific focus, we will take the opportunity for you to have mock-lectures, have student panels, tours of campus and lunch on us.

This taster course is open to year 12 students who are thinking of starting their undergraduate studies in September 2018. Students should have, or be looking to achieve the following grades: 3 A levels at AAA, GCSE grade 6 (‘A’ Level and Access to Higher Education applicants) or grade 7 (all other qualification combinations) in Mathematics, grade 5 or above in English.

When applying to this taster course you will be asked to submit in no more than 150 words why you are interested in studying this subject. You will be selected for this event based on your answer.
