Full event details

Midwives care for women and their babies from the beginning of pregnancy until the end of the first month after birth. They use clinical and caring skills to check the baby's health and offer information, advice and support to mothers and families. Midwifery students at City, University of London benefit from state-of-the-art facilities within our Clinical Skills Centre, where they work in simulated ward settings with industry standard equipment and clinical placements at London’s leading hospitals and Trusts. City, University of London is rated 2nd in London for Nursing and Midwifery by the 2018 Guardian League Table. Come along to our Taster Day and explore what studying midwifery is like at City!

This taster course is open to year 12 students only. Students should have, or be looking to achieve the following grades; 'A' Level - ABB or a combination of 'A' levels and other relevant qualifications. No specific subjects required but, Sciences, Social Sciences and Health and Social Care are preferred. All students require a minimum of 5 GCSE passes at grade 4 or above, including English Language and Mathematics.

When applying to this taster course you will be asked to submit in no more than 150 words why you are interested in studying this subject. You will be selected for this event based on your answer.
