There are two disciplines in radiography:

Diagnostic Radiography is the most effective and widely used procedure for diagnosing injury and disease. Techniques used within the practice of Diagnostic radiography include; X-rays, MRI scans, CT and Ultrasound.

Therapeutic Radiography is one of the most effective treatment approaches for the treatment of cancer helping to control and cure disease. Therapeutic Radiographers use complex equipment including linear accelerators, CT scanners but also need excellent interpersonal skills to support patients undergoing treatment.

Every day radiographers save lives. Students studying on either of our radiography courses work with the latest technology and facilities within our cutting edge Clinical Skills Suite. This taster course is open to year 12 students only. Students should have, or be looking to achieve the following grades; A Level - BBB or a combination of 'A' levels and other relevant qualifications, A Levels must include one of the following: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics. All students require a minimum of five GCSE passes at grade 4 (C) or above, including English Language, Mathematics and Science (Physics is preferred).

When applying to this taster course you will be asked to submit in no more than 150 words why you are interested in studying this subject. You will be selected for this event based on your answer.
