Full event details

This taster will explore the extent of the power held by elite women in the fourteenth century. Students will be given the opportunity to analyse the lives of powerful women from this period and question the extent to which the representations of characters such as Cersei Lannister is a good representation of the influence held by Queen Mothers in medieval England. In doing so, students will be asked to think critically about the representation of the past in the present day and to consider the way that gender has framed experiences of the past.
