Event Summary:

Our Taster Day sessions provide students with the opportunity to visit campus and find out more about course areas of interest,and take part in subject specific interactive activities. These are suitable for A-level, BTEC and Access students. Bookings can be made by schools or colleges for groups, or by individuals.

Full Event Details:

Sixth Form Conference
13:00 - 16:00

Participate in an eye examination and activities will include:
-Direct ophthalmoscopy and fundus photography: Photographing the back of the eyes and using an ophthalmoscope to try to see the back of the eye of your partner.
-Coloured contact lenses and slit lamp: Demonstration of inserting a coloured contact lens, and viewing this lens on the eye using a video slit lamp.
-Volk on model eyes: Try and find the words printed inside the model eyes using the volk lenses and slit lamps.

Students need to be studying two A-level science subjects to attend.
