Liverpool Hope University is 1st in the North West and 4th in the UK for overall Student Satisfaction from the 2016 National Student Survey. The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017 names Liverpool Hope University 2nd in the UK for teaching excellence and 1st in the North West student experience, with the University being rated in the top 50 of UK universities.

From 2pm – 4.30pm at our Hope Park Campus, Hope Park, Liverpool, L16 9JD.
The schedule for the day is as follows:
1pm-2pm Optional Campus Tour (Please advise if you would like to book spaces on a tour)
1.30pm-2pm Arrival at Hope. The Conference will begin promptly at 2pm. Lunch facilities are available if students arrive early.
2pm – 2.15pm Welcome to Liverpool Hope
2.15pm-3.15pm Psychopathology - definitions, knowledge and attitudes
This session will focus in particular on how psychopathology is defined in different contexts and in relation to different disorders. Your knowledge and attitudes towards psychopathology will be explored to increase your awareness and challenge any existing misconceptions.
3.15pm-4.15pm Personality Psychology and Optimism
This session will consider what we mean by optimism and looks at the main theories within personality that may explain why some people are more optimistic than others. It will then look at whether optimisation is a trait or is it a mood and the implications for optimism for academic study and outcomes.
4.15pm – 4.30pm Closing Address and Q & A
4.30pm Depart Hope
