The School of European Culture and Languages at the University of Kent, Canterbury, is holding taster days for each of its subjects on Saturday 12 November. The day will allow students to attend a number of sample seminars based on modules we teach at Kent, given by members of our academic staff, and thoroughly immerse themselves in their chosen subject. The subjects on offer are:
Asian Studies
Ancient History/Classical Studies/Classical & Archaeological Studies
Comparative Literature/World Literature
English Language and Linguistics
French
German
Hispanic Studies
Italian
Philosophy
Religious Studies
There will also be information about the year abroad option, joint honours, general information about the courses, and the opportunity to talk to current staff and students.
Parents are welcome to accompany students to the University, but are asked not to attend the seminars. There will be a separate talk for parents on the day.
Lunch will be provided and the day is free of charge.
