This conference will be taking place on:
Wednesday 30th November 2016
From 2pm – 4.30pm at our Hope Park Campus, Hope Park, Liverpool, L16 9JD.
The schedule for the day is as follows:
1pm-2pm Optional Campus Tour (Please advise if you would like to book spaces on a tour)
1.30pm-2pm Arrival at Hope. The Conference will begin promptly at 2pm. Lunch facilities our available if students arrive early.
2pm-2.15pm Welcome to Liverpool Hope
2.15pm-3.15pm Social Issues and Health
This session will explore how important individual behaviours are for health and why different patterns of behaviour are seen amongst different social groups.
3.15pm-4.15pm Social Values and Social Care
This session will explore what role values play in working with a range of service user groups. Are our personal and professional values always the same and how do we understand values when it comes to issues of equality and diversity? It will also give students a chance to explore some of the values that we often see in the media today.
4.15pm-4.30pm Closing Address and Q & A
4.30pm Depart Hope

Health & Social Care is an exciting new degree at Liverpool Hope University and forms part of our diverse Department of Social Work, Care and Justice. More information about other lectures which may be of interest to your students have been included with this letter.
