Event Summary:

UCA's National Art & Design Saturday Club offers young people aged 13-16 the opportunity to study art and design free of charge. The 20 week programme focuses on drawing, composition, sketching and complex projects such as printing, photography and costume design.

Full Event Details:

UCA's Saturday Club, starting on Saturday 15th October, is run across all four of UCA's campuses: Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham and Rochester.

If you're aged 13-16 and would like to develop your skills in a range of art and design disciplines in a university setting, this could be the club for you.

The 20 week programme focuses on drawing, composition, sketching and work on complex projects such as costume design, printing, photography, animation and screen printing; a trip to London galleries and a masterclass delivered by a leading practitioner from across the UK's creative industries. The end of the Saturday Club year is marked by an exhibition at Somerset House.

Saturday Club members benefit from expert tuition and get to try a range of skills and techniques, building their confidence and ability as an artist or designer.

The National Art & Design Saturday Club is run in partnership with the Sorrell Foundation at various locations across the UK.
