We are all familiar with how verbal language is structured according to grammar rules, but can we talk about some kind of 'grammar' for visual images? Using magazines, advertisements and news photographs, we explore the ways in which images and other multimodal texts are composed and how our layout choices have meaning. Please bring a magazine of any kind with you to the session.
