All business management students need to have an understanding of how the law impacts on the decisions that they make, and employment lawyers need to understand the practical implications of the advice that they give. The purpose of this masterclass is to bring together the two areas of HR Management and employment law, and show how they interact in real business settings. Students will look at applicants for a job, consider why we might want to recruit them or reject them and then debate (using relevant case law) whether our decisions would be lawful or not.
