Sessions will include 'Cosmology and Astrophysics: New discoveries and challenges' and 'Physics what's it all About?.' Also visiting the National Physics Laboratory, career planning and the chance to sample University life here on campus.

The Summer School is open to Year 12 students from non-selective UK Schools/Colleges and particularly:
Those from lower socio economic groups
Those attending Roman Catholic schools in under-represented areas
Those who have disabilities or specific learning disabilities
Those attending vocational courses in schools and colleges
'Looked after children' in the care system
Those from low participation areas
The Year 12 Summer School in Physics will allows students to gain a better knowledge of the pathways that stem from the subject and a deeper understanding of studing physics at university. Additionally, participants will benefit from meeting with students from other backgrounds.
