The Department of Linguistics at SOAS was the first department of general linguistics in Great Britain with a variety of languages on offer which is incomparable to any other linguistics department in the world.

SOAS University of London is the only Higher Education institution in Europe specialising in the study of Asia, Africa and the Near and Middle East.

In this half-day taster programme you will consider topics and issues of linguistics in workshops and lectures delivered by renowned experts in the field. You will also have opportunities to ask questions and find out more about the study of Linguistics.
