Full event details

Pupils/Students interested in exploring journalism as a degree option are invited to come for a hands-on day of interviewing and news reading at the University of Worcester. Our specialised staff will be on hand to give you a real insight into what it feels like to work in the media world. There will be an opportunity to read the news on air in our modern radio studios, carry out a news gathering exercise and sit in the TV studios and experience life as a newsreader. There will also be time to find out more about the industry accredited course and its main pathways ranging from sports and TV/radio production to magazines, politics and online journalism. The course, which has achieved high recognition after one of our students won the 2016 Midlands Media Student of the Year award, offers journalism as either a Single Honours or a Joint Honours, combined with a range of subjects. There will be a chance to find out more on the day.
