Students will get an insight into real life examples of companies that have shaped Birmingham's history and had an impact on the UK’s economy.

Full Event Details:

Morning session (09.00-12.00) Year 8, Year 9 or Year 10 students - 20 places available
Afternoon session (12.30-15.30) Year 8, Year 9 or Year 10 students - 20 places available

This collaborative event, led by Carillion Construction Services and Birmingham City University, will give learners the opportunity to learn more about some of the many exciting opportunities the Built Environment and Construction sector can offer. The three hour session will consist of a unique mix of hands-on activities, talks from experts in the industry and a tour around the Paradise Birmingham site.

You will be meeting people who live and work in Birmingham and will therefore have an opportunity to network with staff from a multinational construction services company and a University which has an enviable reputation for providing quality, student-focused education. Providing activities for students from Year 7 right the way through to Year 13, we are particularly proud of our pre-16 visit days and post-16 events where our student ambassadors play a vital part in acting as role models to their younger peers. We also provide a number of masterclasses for a wide range of our subject areas; giving your learners a hands-on insight into subjects they may consider studying at university.
