Our Open Days are designed to give you all the information you need about the University and the courses you're interested in, with a non-stop programme of events and activities running throughout the day.
At Birmingham City University, we’ve been educating professionals since 1843. Our commitment to developing graduates with the skills and experience employers need means that within six months of leaving us, 93 per cent of postgraduates are in employment or further study (DLHE survey 2013/14).
Our graduates are shaping the world already: holding senior positions in global companies, creating award-winning entertainment, teaching in world-class universities, policing the capital, and designing accessories for celebrities and royalty.
Our teaching excellence and ground-breaking industry collaborations are renowned, with almost 40 professional accreditations for our courses from bodies such as The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), ACCA and Creative Skillset, while our world-leading research ensures pioneering teaching and state-of-the-art facilities for students at all levels.
Many of our lecturers have extensive experience in industry and the professions, and maintain close links with these organisations, providing students with an insight into the latest trends in the sectors they hope to enter.
Our students learn in realistic environments that replicate the workplaces they hope to enter. From mock operating theatres, courtrooms and classrooms to state-of-the-art video production suites and photographic studios, you will have the perfect learning environment to develop the skills you need.
We are currently mid-way through a £260 million investment programme in our estates and facilities, including our Parkside Building for design and media students, the new Curzon Building, which houses business, law, social science and English courses as well as new library, IT and student support facilities. A third phase of development, including a new home for our Conservatoire and additional teaching space at our City Centre and City South campuses, will follow in 2017.
