Full event details

1 - Sherlock Bones
In this session we will investigate the clues that the skulls of mammals give you about the nature of the animals they came from: what (or who) they ate, how they moved and where and how they lived can all be deduced if you know what to look for. We will consider in particular how the specialised teeth of the mammals contributed to their evolutionary success by looking at a range of animals, from the tiny to the tigerish (watch out, they bite).

2 - Diversity on Your Doorstep
details to be sorted out and this could change dependent on the weather but may include a pond-dipping exercise or examining the diversity of invertebrates under rotting wood in the University grounds. Taking the beasts back to the lab and figuring out what they are
