Computing Open Day
2pm-6pm, Wednesday 16 March 2016
In March 2016 we are running an Open Day especially for people interested in undergraduate degrees run by Goldsmiths’ Department of Computing.
You will be able to attend introductory lectures about each of our degree programmes, and hear from current students presenting their work and talking about their experience of studying at Goldsmiths.
You can then come to one of our one-hour taster workshops, which will give you a feel for what it’s like to study here. We’ll introduce you to some exciting, hands-on challenges such as using live-coding software to create 3D visuals and music, or creating and marketing a brand-new digital business.
We’ll also give you a tour of our computing facilities, which include a motion-capture suite, 3D printers, maker labs and state-of-the-art computing labs.
And throughout the Open Day, you’ll have plenty opportunity to chat to our staff and students, who will help you to decide if Goldsmiths Computing is the place for you.
