In celebration of British Science Week, LJMU are hosting a 'WiSTEM: Introduction to Natural Sciences' event.
Aimed at inspiring Year 10 girls, WiSTEM (Women in STEM) will explore the synergy between Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths within the Natural Sciences.
The event will run from 09:45 to 15:00 at Liverpool John Moores - Byrom Street Campus and has an 80 student capacity.
This Intro to Natural Sciences will consist of three, 1 hour interactive sessions and all students will attend all three sessions.
Session 1: Geophysics of Medieval Burial Sites
Session 2: Marine and Coastal Environments and Technology
Session 3: Engineering our Environment
All sessions are led by post-graduate Student Advocates who are directly working within their session topics, thus ensuring that participating students receive state-of-the-art, current, and inspiring session content.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided for students and accompanying teachers.
