The aim of this conference is to help prepare students for the UCAS application cycle and life whilst studying at University. Students will attend workshops on choosing a course/university, personal statements, student finance and the opportunity to hear the experiences of current university students.

The aim of this conference is to help prepare students for the UCAS application cycle and life whilst studying at University. Students will attend workshops on choosing a course/university, personal statements, student finance and the opportunity to hear the experiences of current university students.

Welcome to Newman University
An Introduction to Higher Education- This session will encourage students to start thinking about which subject they may wish to study at university and the entry requirements for HE courses. It will also explore the UCAS application process in preparation for September.
Student Life- Current Newman students will discuss their experiences of studying at university covering topics such as; budgeting, the student lifestyle, and international opportunities.
Campus tour
How to write an effective Personal Statement- This session will prepare students for the UCAS application cycle, focusing on hints & tips on how to write the most effective Personal Statement.
