The Outreach Team are delighted to offer this FREE History A-Level Study Day - The Tudors. Hosted by our History Academics from our School of Humanities here at Canterbury Christ Church University, this invaluable day will benefit all students studying the Tudors for A-Level. Following consultation with a number of local schools and teachers, we are delighted to be able to offer the following A-level event(s) in support of the work being done on a number of Tudor-themed topics across several examination boards. A choice of lectures are available to choose from including "How far did Henry VII revolutionise Royal finance?" (Dr David Grummitt) "The Pre-Reformation Church and the break with Rome" (Dr Sara Wolfson) "Riot and rebellion in Tudor England: The Pilgrimage of Grace Prayerbook Rebellion, 1536/1547" Available 2nd March only (Dr David Hitchcock) "How glorious was 'Gloriana'? Elizabeth I and her historians" Available 22nd March only. (Professor Jackie Eales) Students will also have the opportunity to meet a group of current History undergraduates, along with a number of tutors, will host a drop-in question-and-answer session about ‘studying History at University’. Don't miss this fantastic Tudors study day for History students at A-Level. This event is suitable for a maximum of 40 students.
