Event Summary:
A 3 day non-residential summer school for year 10 students interested in Forensics, Criminology, Law and related subjects.
Full Event Details:
Students will have the opportunity to experience fun and interactive sessions exploring the work done by a range of experts in the justice sector. Taught by University lecturers, there will be an exciting and inspirational mix of practical sessions, lectures and team projects in forensics, psychology, ciminology and law. Participants will also work closely with university students to hear at first-hand what study and life at University is like. Social and team building activities will give students the opportunity develop their inter-personal skills, gaining in independence and confidence.
This event is one of 7 offered as part of the Aimhigher West Midlands UniFest programme for disadvantaged Year 10 students from regional state-funded schools. A contribution of £50 per place is required from participating schools, most of whom link UniFest to their Pupil Premium funding.
