Event Summary:
Part of a programme of FREE webinars for teachers and advisors who support students in raising their aspirations to progress to higher education. Coordinated and delivered by networks of universities in the South and South West of England, funded by the National Network for Collaborative Outreach (NNCO) scheme.
This session will look at the important role that further education (FE) colleges play in widening participation. Looking through the eyes of current students and recent graduates, it will explore the reasons behind choosing College HE, the opportunities available (including types of courses), their experience of the course and the benefits of studying in a college environment. This session is particularly relevant for careers advisors, teachers and heads of sixth form, or anyone interested in gaining an insight into an alternative HE experience for their students.
