What future for young people? Youth policy after the 2015 election

This session will explore the level of support offered to young people as they transition from childhood to adulthood in a nation under austerity. The first third of the session will offer a broad introduction to youth policy and transitions theory. The second third will give attendees the opportunity to develop a ‘youth manifesto’. The final part will explore the policy proposals from the manifestos and contrast these with key policies and messages during the 2015 general election campaign and the subsequent government agenda.
