History at SOAS offers a unique range of opportunities. We are the only history department in the UK devoted to the study of Africa and Asia, and can therefore offer students an unrivalled breadth of courses. The BA History course at SOAS offers students different approaches to historical subject matter, interpretation and methodology—from the different perspectives of, for instance, economic history or the history of religion and culture.

SOAS is a remarkable institution. Uniquely combining language scholarship, disciplinary expertise and regional focus, it has the largest concentration in Europe of academic staff concerned with Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

In this half-day taster programme you will consider the fascinating history of these regions during workshops and lectures taken by renowned experts in the field. You will also have opportunities to ask questions and find out more about the study of History at SOAS.

Duration: Half day (2pm - 5pm)

Subject area/s: History

Course Requirements: This taster course is open to year 11, 12 and 13 students as well as anyone considering starting their undergraduate studies in September 2016.
