The Department of Politics and International Studies at SOAS is one of the leading and most exciting departments in the UK in which to study global politics with a focus on Asia, Africa and the Middle East. The study of Politics at SOAS offers a unique perspective that grounds the analytical tools and concepts of the discipline in the historical and contemporary contexts of Asia, Africa and the Middle East as well as in global trends that influence politics in these regions.

SOAS is a remarkable institution. Uniquely combining language scholarship, disciplinary expertise and regional focus, it has the largest concentration in Europe of academic staff concerned with Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

In this half-day taster programme you will consider topics and issues of politics and international relations in workshops and lectures taken by renowned experts in the field. You will also have opportunities to ask questions and find out more about the study of Politics and International Relations at SOAS.

Duration: Half day (10am - 1pm)

Course Requirements: This taster course is open to year 11, 12 and 13 students as well as anyone considering starting their undergraduate studies in September 2016.
