Engineering Product Designers have to walk a tightrope of producing good-looking concepts that work well, which can be manufactured for a price affordable to the target market.
Come to the Engineering Product Design taster day and experience the hands-on excitement of developing new products to solve real world problems that might well affect you and your family.
This course is primarily aimed at students who are considering a BSc (hons) Engineering Product Design or BEng (hons) Mechanical Engineering course at University

Warning - you will be expected to do some preparatory work before you attend!

PLEASE NOTE: After you have submitted your application, we will email you within 5 working days to ask you to write in 150 words, why you are interested in studying this subject. Students will be selected for this course based on their answers. Once we have received your 150 words, we will let you know as soon as possible whether or not your application has been successful

Course Requirements: This taster course is open to year 12 and 13 students or anyone who is thinking of starting their undergraduate studies in September 2014. Students should be studying one of the following AS/A2 subjects: Engineering, Design Technology, Physics, Maths, 3D Design, Art.
