Whatever the outcome, the experience of austerity politics, the rise of UKIP and the Scottish referendum all make the 2015 contest of special historical interest.

This Taster Day will use the General Election as a theme to introduce you to the academic study of Politics and International Relations. The day will comprise a series of lectures, talks and seminars, giving you an insight into how students learn and how we teach at Royal Holloway. There will be three lectures in the morning, and in the afternoon participants will discuss issues raised in the lectures in small-group seminars.

The day will also include a talk about Royal Holloway’s Department of Politics and International Relations and the UCAS application process.
