Hosted by King's College London. Discover the diversity of the Spanish and Portuguese speaking worlds and learn about the range of programmes offered by the department of Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies at King's College London.

Full Event Details:

You will have the opportunity to learn about what it is like to study Spanish or Portuguese at University, either as single subjects or in combination with another language or discipline, such as French or English, by participating in an informal class and meeting current students.

From 1-2pm you can enrol in a 'Learn Portuguese from scratch' class and then continue with this Global Iberias taster course (2-5pm). Please enrol on the Portuguese from scratch class separately.

Duration: Half day (2pm - 5pm)

Course Requirements: This taster course is open to year 12 students or anyone who is considering starting the undergraduate studies in September 2016. Students must be studying Spanish or Portuguese at AS Level or equivalent level.

Choose from over a hundred courses in multiple subject areas at numerous universities in and around London.

The Taster Course Programme provides year 12 sixth form students with a taste of what life at a university in London is like. Through your chosen taster course you will experience the different teaching methods used by university academics and gain an insight into the additional facilities available, whilst meeting students from across the UK.

All our taster courses are free to attend and you can choose a course from a variety of subjects taking place at the numerous participating universities. Courses range from voice and drama, to medicine and nursing, to computing and business.
