Recording methods have dictated what has been recorded, and how long it can be, and record labels have for decades dictated repertoire.
Now, in the age of media, self-release and independent promotion, do we need a record industry at all? Can you as performers “make it” in today’s musical world without the support of the establishment, or have even the “independent" methods such as YouTube and MySpace become irrelevant?

Duration: Half day (10.30am - 12.30pm)
