Inspire 2015 offers your students an opportunity to try new things in a University settings. Working with our academic staff and current students, participants will gain first-hand experience of studying at a University.
Wednesday 10 June
Inclusive sports and Performance Analysis – using the latest technology to improve sporting performance
Discover how sports coaches are using this aspect of sports science to provide collective team statistics and individual player analysis, for example, the breakdown of shots taken by each player in a game. Find out how this information is then used to improve overall performance and ultimately sporting success. During this day you will film your own practical performance in an aspect of disability sport and then explore methods to analyse this utilising current approaches and specialist software.

#thisstudentcan – inclusive sports courses and career opportunities in sport
This event will explore some of the disability sports and sports courses on offer at the University of Worcester, for example, Wheelchair Basketball, Blind Football, Boccia. Part of the day will focus on how students develop their knowledge, skills and understanding of inclusive practice and disability sport during their chosen Batchelor of Science degree in order to ‘open doors’ to future employment opportunities.

A day in the life of a sports student
The Institute of Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Worcester currently offers 20 different undergraduate sports courses, from Sports Coaching Science to Cricket Coaching Management, Physical Education to Dance and Community Practice and much more. Experience a range of different workshops through the eyes of a sports student and open your mind to the range of opportunities available to you if you enjoy sport.

This day will give you a real insight into studying Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Worcester. What are the limits to human performance? Take part in a range of different fitness tests and challenges and compare your results to some of the best athletes of our time.
