Making a Difference is our inaugural event for year 12 sixth form and year 1 college students who are interested in Health and Education careers that make a difference in society. Hosted at our brand new Brooks building, the home of the faculties of Education and Health, Pschology and Social Care, the event offers students the opportunity to explore a variety of pathways within the health and education professions through interactive and practical workshops.
5 different degree programmes will be showcased through these workshops:
BA (Hons) Youth & Community Work
BA (Hons) Social Care
BA (Hons) Contemporary Health Studies
BA (Hons) Education Studies
BA (Hons) Early Years and Childhood Studies
Students will therefore gain insight into important issues with the Health and Education sectors, which can be used to demonstrate interest and suitability in the UCAS personal statement and subsequent interviews. They will also develop their skills in debate and group work, as well as discovering new courses and careers.
