Year 10 Summer Schools - Health Sciences 12th - 14th July 2015

These residential summer schools offer state school learners an opportunity to find out what it is like to study at university, and in particular a research-led institution like Birmingham.
Students will stay in a University Hall of Residence, follow a programme of social activities and experience a taste of university life. All students are given support and guidance by our student ambassadors who are current undergraduates at the University.

This summer school starts on Sunday 12th July and finishes on Tuesday 14th July 2015.

These events are free of charge and open to students in West Midlands state schools.
Participants are selected using the indicators below.

Any pupil selected:
must come from a home where neither parent attended university in the UK or abroad
in receipt of, or entitled to, free school meals
Parents/guardians/carers unemployed or in semi-skilled/manual occupations
Disadvantaged home postcode

Exceptions:
Students who have a disability and/or learning difficulty
Students who are in the care system
