Event Summary:
Dr Edward Wright, Ebola expert and Senior Lecturer in Medical Microbiology at the University of Westminster will be giving a lecture with Dr Christopher Logue Senior Virologist and Virology training lead at Public Health England (Porton Down) on ‘Ebola Virus Disease and the ongoing West African outbreak’
‘The ongoing Ebola virus outbreak in West Africa is on a scale not seen before, with an international response to match. The biology and history of the virus will be discussed as well as the important features that may have played a role in the outbreak occurring. We will also have an account of the experiences of a scientist from Public Health England who has worked on the front line.
