‘The ongoing Ebola virus outbreak in West Africa is on a scale not seen before, with an international response to match. The biology and history of the virus will be discussed as well as the important features that may have played a role in the outbreak occurring. We will also have an account of the experiences of a scientist from Public Health England who has worked on the front line.

Time: 2-4pm (1.45 pm arrival)
