Full event details

The engineering profession is increasingly asking for graduates who are equipped with a breadth of knowledge across many engineering disciplines. City has developed a degree which draws on over 100 years of experience that covers the fundamental aspects of engineering science spanning from electrical to mechanical and biomedical. The engineering degree pays particular attention to the emerging new computational techniques which have transformed design and manufacturing. This Engineering course is ideal for students with a strong grounding in Mathematics and Science who wish to develop their capabilities in logic and problem-solving. The interdisciplinary nature of the degree course means a wide variety of career paths will be available to graduates.

Find out how computational engineering science underpins advanced design by undertaking a group analysis exercise to predict the behaviour of a complex structure or decide on the most suitable engineering solution to landing a space probe on a distant planet.

This taster course is open to year 12 students or anyone who is thinking of starting their undergraduate studies in September 2018. Students must currently be studying mathematics (and preferably physics) at AS/A level or equivalent.

When applying to this taster course you will be asked to submit in no more than 150 words why you are interested in studying this subject. You will be selected for this event based on your answer.
